Cordially Invited is an international exhibition as well as a series of discussions, presentations and screenings (developed in collaboration with Nomads & Residents, IDFA, and Prince Claus Fund) around the themes of hospitality vis-a vis a topic of major political and ethical consequence: migration. The project explores these issues through the notion of a cordial invitation, understood here as a symbolikc tool which can be used to negotiate between two imginary, unattainable ideals: the unrestricted right to move across political and economic boundaries, and the unqualified acceptance such rights imply.
